1, 2, 3, 4, 5, __ guess the next number (hint: it's not six)

You would think it'd be six. But what if I told you the next number was 126? Would you believe me?

if k is the next number in the sequence, and we follow the formula

[(k-1)(k-2)(k-3)(k-4)(k-5)] + k = k

Then you'll find that the next number is indeed 126. And every number in the sequence so far also checks out.

This only meant to be a philosophical proof that we can't rely on our past inductions to extrapolate future outcomes. In other words, we must remain skeptical of the future because we can never know for sure what's going to happen. Even with something as concrete and foolproof as mathematics, we can see here that the past has no influence on what the future holds.

Don't assume anything. Even if someone's let you down before. Things can always change without you even knowing about it.

Symphony for the Solo

The first short film I've ever made. Filmed entirely over the course of two weeks using just one camcorder and iMovie to edit. The music was also my own original composition, recorded on Garageband. ten minutes of an entire hour of playing
